Venice, 06 December - Established by the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority with the support of the Municipalities of Venice and Chioggia, the Harbour Master's Office and the Venice Port Community, Port Educational is an educational project that resorts to simple and playful storytelling techniques to talk of the centuries-old relationship between the cities of Venice and Chioggia and their port, and has gained increasing success amongst the local area's primary schools.
The new agreement extends the concession for a further 10 years, provides a new investment plan and redefines the scope of the management provided by the Venetian company.
New spaces for training students and over 3.6 million Euros from the PNRR for technical equipment and new simulators have been made available. The aim is to consolidate the role of the Logistics and Maritime Academy by expanding the post-diploma offer and to provide upskilling and reskilling courses for logistics and maritime workers
enice, 19 November 2024 – Yesterday afternoon, the Management Committee of AdSPMAS approved the third amendment to the 2024 forecast budget and determined the maximum number of permits to be issued in 2025 for the provision of complementary and accessory specialised services and for the exercise of port operations pursuant to Art. 16 of Law 84/94 and following amendments in the ports of Venice and Chioggia. The Management Committee was attended by President Fulvio Lino Di Blasio, Secretary General Antonella Scardino, Maritime Director of Veneto/Venice Harbourmaster Filippo Marini, Maria Rosaria Anna Campitelli representing the Veneto Region and Dennis Wellington representing the Metropolitan City and the Board of Auditors.
After the successful testing phase that took place in recent weeks, the rail link between the docks of the Vecon-PSA Venice Terminal in Marghera and the intermodal terminal of Montirone near Brescia - one of the main nodes along which the MIS Group has developed the services it offers as MTO (Multimodal Transport Operator) – is now fully operational. The train is made up of 23 sixty-foot wagons with a loading capacity of 46 containers.

Located at the top of the Adriatic Sea, the Veneto Port System – which includes the ports of Venice and Chioggia – is the closest access to Europe’s main manufacturing centres for goods coming from the south and a key resource for the area: on a total surface of 2,500 hectares, over 1,200 companies operate to serve supply and export chains of industries based in Northern Italy and Central Europe.
