The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority has various green areas within its jurisdiction, located in Venice’s historic center, Marghera, and Fusina.
These green areas consist of over 1,100 trees of different species, forming a valuable asset that is continuously monitored to ensure their health and contribute to maintaining adequate safety levels in the port areas. The maintenance of these trees, both regular and extraordinary, is contracted to a specialized company that is consistently present in the region
Recognizing the value of this asset, periodic campaigns are conducted to update the inventory and assess the health and stability of the trees. These assessments, carried out by specialized agronomists, determine the need for pruning, tree reinforcement, or, if necessary for safety reasons, tree removal. In accordance with the Municipal Regulations for Green Area Maintenance, after tree removal, new trees are replanted as part of a plan established by specific replanting programs.
