ERF - Operation of railway connections

With Ordinance no. 3 of 11/09/2017, North Adriatic Sea Port Authority NASPA, issued the District Regulations for railway maneuvering (ReCoMaF) in Venice Marghera Scalo, in which it entrusts the Single Manager service to ERF of Shunting (pursuant to Annex A of Resolution no. 18 of 10/2/2017 of the Transport Regulatory Authority), of the Venice Marghera Scalo railway district and is a railway shunting company with a Single Safety Certificate, obtained dated 07/24/2023 and valid for 5 years. The only shunting company in Italy to have been certified directly with the European Railway Agency.

The activity consists in carrying out, using its own personnel and vehicles, the railway handling service between the Venice Marghera Scalo station and the industries and port terminals located within the port area of the Port of Venice. The service, by its monopolistic nature, is regulated by a tariff issued by the NASPA.

Furthermore, the company also carries out internal shunting services at connected factories and activities related to the main one, also including studies and research in the field of railway mobility.
