To occasionally access the port areas it is necessary to have a temporary (occasional) access permit which can be obtained according to the methods explained in the APV ordinance n. 336/2010.
How to request temporary access permission
The temporary (occasional) access permit does not authorize access to the operational areas of the port companies (except for special authorizations from the concessionary port company) nor on board the ships.
In order to obtain the temporary access permit in the port area it is necessary to fill in all its parts an online form (Click here to request the temporary access permit in the port-LogIS) in which the company (or body) must be selected ) where you need to go.
The temporary access permit will be sent automatically, in electronic format (e.g. file.pdf) to the applicant via email only after the company (or institution) has authorized access.
This permit can be requested both for the port areas of Marghera and Venice (Marittima and S. Andrea, S. Marta, S. Basilio) as well as for the port areas of Chioggia (Val da Rio and Isola dei Saloni).
The temporary access permit is not necessary for pedestrians who, in Venice, access the areas of S. Andrea, S. Marta and S. Basilio.
The temporary access permit can be valid for a maximum of 10 days.
For longer durations, adequately motivated, it is expected to obtain an access ticket and an access permit (badge) according to the methods explained in the APV ordinance n. 336/2010.
