Noi siamo Porto (We are the port) is a campaign dedicated to port professionals.
The first episode takes place in the port terminals in Venice and Chioggia, from those that handle containers, breakbulk, steel and agri-food bulk on to multi-purpose and ferry terminals, and it shows interviews with staff from a number of port operators including:
PSA VENICE VECON, MULTISERVICE – TRANSPED – SORIMA (FHP HOLDING PORTUALE), TERMINAL INTERMODALE VENEZIA, TERMINAL RINFUSE VENEZIA, VENICE RO PORT MOS, CARBONES E INTERPORTO RIVERS.
After a short description of the companies, the video clips give way to interviews in the field with operators who explain – also through images showing them carrying out their duties – how their work is done, why it is important, what a typical day at work is like, difficulties and satisfactions, and much more.
So, for example, you will get to know Operations Managers, crane operators, operators of material handling equipment and vehicles, gate operators and shipping offices, supervisors, operations related to handling, as well as inspection and safety procedures, but that’s not all!
Through the stories of the people who work at the port every day, we want to show to as wide an audience as possible, and especially to non-experts, what port work looks like.
Filmed at PSA VENICE VECON, the first video focuses on gate professionals and interviews Fabio Schierato – Operations Manager – and Giulia Bello, a young gate operator who is among the first women in Italy with a licence to operate a reach stacker.
