Under the European funding programme Connecting Europe Facility, the ports of Venice, Trieste, Koper e Ravenna (coordinator), have obtained a new co-funding for the implementation of the project called ACCESS2NAPA, for a total expenditure of over 14 million Euros.
This project, which will start its activities in autumn 2021 and will be completed by 2024, aims to increase the competitiveness of the ports involved, with works for the maritime and land last-mile accessibility, as well as to reduce the environmental impact of port operations with the design and electrification of selected quays.
The North Adriatic Sea Port System Authority (NASPA) will contribute to the achievement of the growth objectives of the North Adriatic Ports Association (NAPA) by promoting two actions in particular, namely with the design of interventions in Porto Marghera for the strengthening of the last mile railway infrastructure (in the connection between via dell’Elettricità and the Petrochemical Peninsula) and road accessibility (the so-called Malcontenta node).
NASPA will have a budget of € 880,000, 50% co-financed and 36 months to complete the activities.
