AdSPMAS pdSPMAS presents the Remember Project as part of the INFODAY on the Creative Europe 2021-2027 funding programme

The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority presents the REMEMBER Project as part of the day dedicated to the Creative Europe EU programme which, with a total budget of 2.4 billion euros, aims to support cultural and creative industries.

The rationale behind the programme is the same as that of the project, whose name stands for “Restoring the Memory of Adriatic ports sites. Maritime Culture to foster Balanced Territorial growth”. The project has been developed by the Ports of Venice and Chioggia, together with seven other coastal towns on the two banks of the Adriatic (Ancona, Venice, Trieste, Ravenna, Rijeka, Zadar, Dubrovnik and Split). These areas have been seeking to enhance and promote their port and maritime cultural heritage through new technologies and never before seen tools that engage visitors and deal with different aspects of the area.

The project has been given the Venezia 1600 seal of approval. It consists of a multimedia application that takes the “sailor” on a journey through the past and present of the Venetian ports. The user is guided through the docks in the historic centre of Venice, Marghera and Chioggia, using images, audio, and video, as well as in-depth texts, to discover these areas in a new light.
Presenting the project as part of the Creative Europe Infoday provides an ideal occasion to share best practices and gather material that could bolster new transnational collaborations.
