Thanks to highly equipped and technological terminals, as well as the expertise of operators and know-how, the Port System of Venice boasts several records today.
BULK CARGO
Leading port in bulk agri-food traffic
The ports of Venice and Chioggia are among the main Italian ports in the field of solid bulk cargo. Their dedicated terminals are a guarantee for the supply of production districts in Northeast Italy, which are connected not only through efficient road and rail infrastructure but also through an internal navigation system.
CONTAINER
Point of reference for international container companies
All major container companies call at the Port of Venice and offer connections worldwide. In recent years, over 500 million euros have been invested in expanding the sector both in terms of infrastructure and operations, improving rail, road, and nautical accessibility.
There are two specialized container traffic terminals at the Port of Venice.
RO-RO
A port entirely dedicated to Ro-Ro and Ro-Pax traffic
Venice offers logistical and integrated RO-RO services with daily connections to Greece and weekly connections to Mediterranean destinations. The Venetian yard can count on three terminals with seven operational berths connected directly to the railway, large yards and availability of warehouses.
