The Cruise Commissioner
The President of the North Adriatic Sea Port Authority has been appointed as the Special Commissioner of the Government with the following tasks:
- Realization of temporary berths, not exceeding five, also for passenger ships with a gross tonnage of 25,000 GT or more.
- Maintenance of existing canals: maintenance excavation works of existing canals to allow navigation.
- Ancillary interventions to improve nautical accessibility, navigation safety, and the usability and safety of temporary docks in Marghera.
- Promotion of hydrogeological, geomorphological, and archaeological studies aimed at safeguarding Venice and its lagoon.
