Description
Project which involves the movement, replacement and new installation of maritime signaling in the port inlets of Lido, Malamocco and Chioggia, as well as in the internal large navigation channels. This intervention was necessary due to the significant change in the morphology of the three port inlets, an aspect underlined by a study by the University of Naples.
Economics
The cost of the work amounts to €650 thousand financed by NASPA funds.
Objective
Facilitate nautical accessibility to the Venice Lagoon by implementing and rationalizing the number and position of beacons, buoys, fixed poles with and without turrets in the areas of competence of the Port of Venice and Chioggia.
Benefits
Better and safer accessibility to port areas during the night or with poor visibility;
Adaptation of the colors of the signals according to the IALA regulations in force;
A longer nominal life of the signals thanks to the use of higher performing materials.
