Safety ensures the health of workers by preventing accidents. It involves training, information, prevention, and monitoring to ensure compliance with rules and best practices related to workplace safety.
The goal of Security, on the other hand, is to constantly monitor sensitive port areas, main internal navigation channels, and road and rail accesses leading to the tourist and commercial infrastructure of the port of Venice.
