CFLI, the Intermodal Logistics Training Center, is the training institution of the Port Authority of Venice, specializing in logistics courses.
Intermodal Logistics Training Center
Established in 1993, CFLI provides training and consulting services to businesses operating within the port and the broader logistics and transportation sector. It trains port workers and all stakeholders in the logistics chain, from operational roles to managerial professions. CFLI offers logistics courses, supply chain manager training, courses for shipping companies’ personnel, maritime agents, maritime mediators, and customs analysts.
CFLI is accredited by the Veneto Region for higher and continuing education and employment services. It is also ISO 9001 certified. Thanks to these accreditations, CFLI offers employment entry pathways to young individuals, the unemployed, and workers seeking reemployment or requalification. Additionally, it provides free training courses for employees of companies and logistics courses for businesses.
CFLI is a founding member of the “ITS MARCO POLO” Institute – Foundation for Sustainable Mobility in the port and airport system. Within this framework, CFLI directly manages a course in Venice, the ITS for Sustainable Mobility in Malpensa, and the Maritime Academy in Genoa.
Since 2011, CFLI has been operating the Logistics Academy, which offers catalog and on-demand courses as well as highly specialized consultancy services in logistics management. These services include logistic outsourcing, designing the logistics network from “As Is” to “To Be,” customs strategies, and AEO certification, procurement sourcing, warehouse positioning, layout and sizing, as well as legal consultancy regarding transport contracts and insurance.
