  5. THE VENETIAN PORTS ARE...

THE VENETIAN PORTS ARE GROWING: ADSP MAS ADOPTS A NEW PARTICIPATORY APPROACH TO PLAN PORT ACTIVITIES, STARTING FROM THE DRAFT OF THE THREE-YEAR OPERATIONAL PLAN 2022-2024 (POT).

The North Adriatic Sea Port Authority is introducing a new methodology to let the local community have a say and be involved in drafting the 2022-2024 Three-Year Operational Plan (POT), an official document required by law that plans operations at the Ports of Venice and Chioggia for the next three years.

For the first time, the Authority is publishing a questionnaire on its institutional website (https://it.surveymonkey.com/r/POT_AdSPMAS) to get feedback from all internal and external stakeholders – including institutions, citizens and all members of the port community – which can help make strategic choices when drafting the POT.

On line until 5 November  2021, the questionnaires is made up of 9 multiple-choice questions: the feedback received will be assessed and incorporated in the new POT, to be submitted for approval to the Management Committee by 9 December.

"The publication of this questionnaire – says Fulvio Lino Di Blasio, President of AdSP MAS – is only the first step of a new and broader strategy that the Authority intends to promote with a view to encourage an increasingly fruitful port-city interaction; a participatory, open and inclusive policy- making process, aimed at collecting any contribution that can help prepare the three-year operational plan while defining infrastructural and operational priorities for the growth of the entire port and logistics ecosystem in Veneto.  Our desire is to engage the entire community and citizens in our projects from the very beginning, well aware that any suggestion for developing the ports of Venice and Chioggia always brings added value".
